The Warmonger

Omg guys.

I've been working on this for a LONG time for a senior year project. Like the other digital owl painting, prints of it will be sold at our school's 'Capstone Fair'.
Proceeds go to the Art Department.

So this pretty lady (at least I see it as a female) is a Short-Eared Owl (Asio flammeus). They tend to inhabit fields and marshes, thus the marsh grass she's sitting in. They often do just this: sit on the ground and listen for food.

I truly hope you guys like her as much as I do - every time I look at her I marvel at how I even did such a thing. I personally think this is one of if not the best digital paintings I've ever done, Barred Owl included.
